Join us on Saturday, May 3rd for a field trip!

As part of the festivities for our 75th anniversary reunion, Emeritus Professor Steve Altaner will be leading a field trip to Starved Rock State Park! Steve has brought hundreds of geology students on this trip over his career at the UofI, this trip is not one to miss! Learn how the great cliff at Starved Rock formed and get an of an ancient landscape taught by one of the best field trip leaders you'll ever meet!

Logistics

Depart: 8:00am from east side of the Natural History Building (Matthews Ave) on Saturday, May 3rd

Two, fifteen passenger vans will be provided by the department and will return to NHB at approximately 6:00pm.

Participants are also invited to drive their own vehicles and meet up with the vans at each stop. (A map with driving directions will be provided here before the trip)

Lunch will be provided.

Participants should bring water and wear hiking shoes and field clothes.
