Students in our various degree options are able to study Earth Sciences at the cutting edge of the discipline. One of the great benefits of being a major is enjoying small upper level class sizes while being able to utilize state-of-the-art instrumentation for thesis projects. We have a number of undergraduate research projects for students looking for hands-on research experiences in various areas of Geology.

The department also has a group of dedicated students known as the Geology Ambassadors, who serve to present the department in many ways and get the word out about how great Geology is!

Many Geology majors socialize as part of the Geology club, which organizes both social functions and field trips.
