Overview: The Isotope Geochemistry Lab analyzes a wide variety of elements and isotopes that span almost the entire periodic table. Research in this lab falls into the broad areas of petrology, environmental geochemistry, and geochronology.

Instrumentation:

• Thermo iCAP Q inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (ICP-MS)
• Nu Plasma HR multicollecter ICP-MS
• Analyte Excite excimer laser, which can be coupled to either mass spectometer for laser ablation ICP-MS studies
