Overview: This lab houses a scanning electron microscope (SEM) complete with cathodoluminescence detector and Xray analysis system and a thermal ionization mass spectrometer (TIMS) for high precision isotope ratio analysis.

Instrumentation:

• Tescan Vega SEM with an EDAX octane xray analysis system
• VG Sector 54 TIMS with 9 faraday cups and Daly detector
