Research Description

My research investigates the impact of dam removal as a disturbance on forest growth and carbon capture ability. I use tree rings (dendrochronology) to observe growth changes in trees of various species to determine species-specific and broad scale forest change. I also aim to quantify the carbon store potential of forests and how their ability to take in carbon is affected by disturbances, both natural and human-caused.
